CASTLE COVE SAILING CLUB – OPEN DAY
SUNDAY 11th MAY 10.30am – 3PM
On Sunday 11th May, Castle Cove Sailing Club is holding an Open Day. From
10.30 a.m. – 3p.m., the Club’s Commodore and members are opening the doors of the new club on the site of the former Sailing Centre at the end of Old Castle Road for local people who would like to find out more about sailing and the opportunities on offer to anyone interested in sailing in the wonderful waters around Weymouth and Portland.
Throughout the winter months, work has been carried out by club members and contractors to turn the once derelict site into a working sailing club. Sailing starts from the site at the beginning of April and the Club would like to show as many people as possible the full range of the facilities on offer at Castle Cove Sailing Club.
On the day - Sunday 11th May - there will be talks, displays, opportunities to find out more about the Club’s activities, the history of the Club, plans for the future, tours of the site, demonstrations of rigging and opportunities to go out in a sailing boat (weather dependent)
