CCSC welcomes the 2000 Class Association UK National Championships

Commodores David Brock and Vice Commodore Andy Adler welcomed the 2000 Class Chair Mike McEwing, the 56 helms, their crews, families and supporters at the Commodores' reception on the Club's deck last night. Race officer Bill Barker was also introduced to the fleet.

The regatta is taking place on the 14-19 August 22, providing five days of racing with a break in the middle for a chance to explore the local attractions.

With 56 entries, the fleet looks to be competitive throughout with some people attending their first championship regatta including a number of boats from CCSC.

The class association has secured many sponsors to support the regatta. Title sponsor is Astral Azure Ltd owned by long standing 2000 sailor and current class chair Mike McEwing. His company specialise in the aerospace / defence industry. Noble Marine insurance continue their long standing support. Rooster Sailing have newly partnered to support the class. And lastly no Championship regatta would be a regatta if it didn't have a local brewery to help with the socials - a huge thank you to local company Cerne Abbas Brewery for their support.
