CCSC Cruisers (Past) » Solent Cruise
se Details
For our final cruise of the season we are off to the Solent, with a different port each night.
Our first thoughts although this is all up for discussion at the briefing on the night before we head off. We would set off early on Friday catching the east going tide at St Albans Head, to have lunch in Swanage or Studland Bay. We would then catch the east going tide at Hurst Point from 1800 for our sail to Port Hamble. We then have a tide assisted trip to Gunwharf Quays for Saturday night and on to Cowes Yacht Haven for Sunday Night. The return to Portland will mean a start with a contrary tide if you plan to make the best of the neap tide to the west from Hurst at 13.30.
Proposed Itinerary
Briefing at the club will be on Thursday at 1900
Departure time for those who like to travel together is 0700. This is subject to change and will be discussed and agreed at the briefing
Marina's are booked for this trip, so please let us know when booking (or until the closing date) if you would like to start later or leave earlier so we can make sure the marina has the correct numbers.
We will run a ferry on Thursday evening and on Monday evening
