    CCSC welcomes the 2000 Class Association UK National Championships

    Commodores David Brock and Vice Commodore Andy Adler welcomed the 2000 Class Chair Mike McEwing, the 56 helms, their crews, families and supporters at the Commodores' reception on the Club's deck last night. Race officer Bill Barker was also introduced to the fleet. The regatta is taking place on the 14-19 August 22, providing five days of racing with a break in the middle for a chance to explore the local attractions.

    It was hot...both Monday's BBQ and Sailing

    There could not have been many better places to be than at Castle Cove Sailing Club for the hottest evening ever in the UK.     Racing with Dolphins

    Monday evening racing on the 4 th of July had the added excitement of a pair of dolphins joining the keel boat race. JoJo (pictured) and Harriet observed the pair bow riding, diving and breaching around them for the whole race. Both skippers and crew found the experience added a whole new dimension to racing, though this does raise some concerns for the welfare of dolphins themselves.     Regional Junior Championships

    A great weekend was had by the Cadet section this weekend. 13 of them headed to WPNSA for the Regional Junior Championships. It was WINDY for them all, topping out at 31 Kn on Saturday and only 24 Kn on Sunday. Everyone survived and those racing in the Cove cup saw them all sailing back to the club whilst they were hanging on to there own boats. Results included 1st and 2nd Feva;

    Opportunity to see Boleh

    Come and see the historic junk yacht 'Boleh'. 'Boleh' is a historic yacht built on the lines of a 'junk' from South-East Asia in Singapore in 1948. She was fully restored with the help of a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2015.
