Cadets
Welcome to the Castle Cove Cadets!
We have an active youth section at Castle Cove. We meet on Saturday mornings throughout the season.
All members aged between 8 and 17 are very welcome. We sail a variety of boats including Optimists, Toppers, Picos, Fevas and others. We also have a selection of club boats available to hire for the session.
It is very much a family affair, so we very much welcome parents to please come along and get involved.

SET-UP OF CADET MEMBERSHIPS / ACCOUNTS
Cadet memberships have a very specific definition within CCSCM. This is to balance the need to ensure that their guardians are the point of contact and have control over their account against the CCSCM system restrictions based upon membership.
Cadets are minors and must have at least one adult responsible for them registered on the system. One adult is registered as the 'primary' who will receive all e-mails and invoices that are sent to the Cadet.The Cadet and the responsible adult each have an account.The Cadet account is required should they need to hire a club dinghy, or to add/edit their own boats should they have any. The sign-in to the Cadet account is an adaptation of the primary adult's e-mail address as illustrated below.
The easiest way to explain how everything works is with an example; meet the Flintstones!: Fred, Wilma and their daughter Pebbles - who has joined us as a Cadet (after the family moved to the Jurassic Coast from Bedrock!). Assuming Fred was the first named adult on their application form their accounts will be set-up as below (please note the very specific format of the login for Pebbles - we will always use +cadet-first-name in this way):

If you have doubts or would like us to e-mail the Cadet account login to you then please get in contact with the Membership Secretary using the Contact form. Each account will have it's own password - it's probably a good idea if the Primary Adult and the Cadet's are identical for your own ease of use, but that's entirely up to you - we have no way of knowing what passwords have actually been used!
