    Mupe Cruise

A lovely little cruise was taken by the CCSC cruisers. Monica Wolff had always wanted to do this regular pilgrimage down to Mupe, but the stars had rarely aligned appropriately. Luck was with them this year and Steve and Monica cadged a lift with Seraphim and BONI respectively. The intrepid crew of Peccadillo made the cruise 3 boats in total for the night. The way out was a lovely downwind sail with sufficient wind

Nearly 250 Optimists attended the Oppi nationals this year, including sailors from Czech Republic, USA, Netherlands, Spain, Ireland and Poland. It was my first time sailing at a different sailing club and it felt very daunting at first but when we were introduced to our coached regatta group, I

Boats, Bands and Bromptons.... Cherbourgers 2024

We sailed all the way to Cherbourg apart from engine assistance for the last part. In France we enjoyed a mass bike ride - all 4 Bromptons plus several hired electric bikes. Later that evening there was the Cherbourg Solstice music festival throughout the town. On return there was little or no wind back to Weymouth although we were helped by the genoa in the last quarter. See the full report HERE

    YCW Keelboat Regatta 2024 - 13/14 July

Back in 2022 we had two days of fabulous sailing in the bay with members of Weymouth Sailing Club. The feedback was awesome. The programme was designed to be fun with 'all in starts', free entry, free beer and a free buffet at the prize giving; it was all a great success thanks to the Regatta Chair, Richard Bowers and the Race Officer, Peter Bell, plus Sarah and Garry Owens from WSC who organised the
