Welcome
Welcome CCSC Cruisers
Thanks to those of you who've come on some of our cruises. Read all about them in Past Cruises. Whether you are a seasoned sailor or a complete novice, there are things to be learnt and fun to be had. Sailing in company is a great way to improve your sailing, build confidence and make great friends.
All 2025 cruises and remaining winter events are available to look at and book as appropriate in the calendar - click this link to get the full list.
Here are some useful sources of sailing information, accessible via links:
- Our code of conduct for all those taking part in our cruising trips.
- Our useful cruising tips from some of our seasoned sailors.
- Useful boat gadgets and apps that our cruisers recommend.
- Tidal flow YouTube videos for Portland Bill and around the Isle of Wight (you might have to watch the advert, until it allows you to skip to the video!).
- Delicious meals prepared by our chefs at our bi-annual galley chef, downloadable for 2022 here & 2024 here - try them at home or on your boat!.
- The CCSC website links page, where you'll find some useful links to wind & shipping forecasts, chart views, harbour info and Lulworth firing times + some stories of our cruisers who are sailing in other parts of the world.
- Thinking of a long cruise, then click this link for fellow cruisers advice and guidance from a circumnavigation of the UK over a number of cruising seasons.
If you would like to be better connected to cruising activities and events:
- Join our cruisers mailing list in your members portal - go to Mailing Lists at the bottom and tick Cruisers.
- Join our cruisers WhatsApp group for cruiser related communications in the run up to and during events. Just send your name and mobile number to Shaun Gould at cruisers@ccsc.org.uk, who will add you to the group.
If you have any questions on the trips or anything else to do with cruising, then get in touch with Shaun Gould using cruisers@ccsc.org.uk or via the contact page, using "Cruisers" as the category.
