Scorpion National Championships 2024

Castle Cove Sailing Club is delighted to be hosting the Scorpion National Championships from 27th July to 2nd August.

We are looking forward to welcoming over 70 boats and their crews from all over the UK. (FYI there appears to be no specific collective noun for a group of Scorpions!?) Our members will be acting as hosts providing much needed refreshment off the water as well as managing the racing in the harbour and bay.

This class has a very long tradition at the club dating back to the 60's, many club trophies are dedicated to the Scorpion, and the class is still raced actively now. We've hosted the championships a good number of times in the past, most recently in 2017, and the competitors love coming to our club.
