Tim Scarisbrick, celebration of his life Tuesday 21st June, 2:30pm, WPNSA

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Tim Scarisbrick in
December 2021. Tim's family have now arranged a celebration of Tim's life,
an informal occasion to share memories of Tim. Please feel free to wear
bright colours.

Tim was an active and competitive 505 dinghy sailor at Castle Cove for many
years, and his 505 dinghy was his pride and joy. However, following a
serious stroke, he wasn't able to sail his 505 any more. He joined the then
newly started Chesil Sailability, where many Castle Cove sailors also
volunteer. Tim started racing the accessible Hansa dinghy, culminating in
winning the Hansa National Championship in 2016. Since then, he focused on
helping the younger sailors progress. He was sailing up to a few months
before he died, often sailing solo in very strong winds.

He is much missed by us all.
