Congratulations National Champions Ben and Sam!

Congratulations to Castle Cove's Benjamin Pascoe for his astounding victory at the 2000 Class National Championship at Hayling Island. The nine-year-old helmed his boat to a remarkable win, crewed by his proud father, Sam, in a 59-boat series.

After a challenging first day in strong winds, where they finished with a second and a third place, the father-and-son team excelled as conditions became lighter. The pair secured an impressive eight consecutive race wins to triumph over two-time national champions Simon and Katie Horsfield.

This is a truly astounding achievement for Benjamin, who sails for the love of the sport, and sets an impressive new benchmark. The win adds another chapter to Castle Cove Sailing Club's history of nurturing champion sailors. All eyes will be on this young talent as he continues his journey, with an ambition to reach the Olympics!
