Swanage | 8 - 9 July 2023

Sailing It was a good trip with 6 boats in attendance. The trip up proved testing with no wind and then later it developed into 2,3 South Easterly. Everyone was able to find a mooring and four boats crews went ashore in dinghies for the afternoon to enjoy some Jazz along the sea front. However, the heavens soon opened and we had to take refuge in a pub (such hardship). A party of seven then met up for a meal and drinks before tendering it back in the dark, though it had luckily stopped raining by then.

Deckchair On Sunday morning some of us went early to catch the end of the West going tide around St Albans head. Silver Girl put into Worbarrow bay for brunch before having a cracking sail home in the strengthening Southerly wind. Thirisia had engine problems going back! a burnt smoking engine loom! But reported as getting back to Castle Cove ok.
